Natural Plant Dye Workshop At NPO Honzo Haven Farm Catskill Mountains NY Join us for a walk around the Farm! We will be collecting the fresh plants traditionally used for dyeing fabrics, then making our own natural and non-toxic dye. It’s art and healing at the same time! Immerse yourself in the color and power of Nature!! Date: August 25th, 2019 Time: 11am to 5pm Admission: $98 Price includes dye materials, 2 sizes of linens, handbook, and snack & tea. **This work shop fee is a donation, and all benefits go to Honzo Haven. We recommend you to bring: Apron, thick rubber gloves and dark color clothing, all of which could be stained. Appointment only: Please register to reserve your place. Payment is due at time of registration. Transportation from NYC: Please take the short line bus at 8:30am from Port Authority Bus Terminals, Manhattan, to arrive at “Ellenville” at 10:39am. Please let us know if you will be taking the bus, and we’ll meet you at the Ellenville bus station. This work shop will be provided by Fiber craft Studio Threefold Educational Center Instructor Miho Suzuki: Research Associate and long-time co-worker and volunteer at the Studio. She has a love of plant dyeing and a background in clothing design. She graduated the AAP 9th cycle.
